This campaign for the BIND RPG is now nearly 6 years old, and has received 3 full playthroughs, each one of which shows deep flaws in the structure, but fewer flaws than the last playtest.

Have you ever heard the advice to 'write scenes, not plot'?  Well Missions in Maitavale takes this to the extreme.   Instead of stories, it presents a series of 'Side Quests', built up from little segments which you can drop in whenever the players happen to be in the right area ('forest', 'roads', or 'town').  If the PCs aren't there, just grab a segment from another Side Quest.

After a couple of sessions, the the PCs will find themselves embroiled in 2 political conspiracies, while witnessing a mountain danger to the entire valley, and wondering why everyone keeps talking about alchemical gateways.

They can follow any lead they like - these story-segments-as-scenes are designed to wait patiently until the PCs go to the right rough location before ambushing them with more unresolve plot-hooks.
