Bring allies, and a better sword.
Try the spell-casting system, then pluck a griffin and use its feathers for bonus to Air magic, and be careful with spell duplication - you don't know where it'll end up.
Random Attributes are Great
You can make characters randomly, or by spending XP. I highly recommend the random system, as it always produces a more interesting troupe.
